How to Watch the 2026 Leagues Cup in the US
The Leagues Cup is the summer tournament that pits every Liga MX club against a field of MLS clubs — a real, competitive cross-border cup rather than an exhibition. The 2026 edition runs from August 4 to September 6, and here's exactly how to watch it in the US.
What it is & the format
The 2026 Leagues Cup features 36 clubs — all 18 Liga MX teams plus 18 qualifying MLS clubs — in a revised two-phase format. In Phase One (August 4-13), every match is MLS vs Liga MX, with each club playing three matches and separate MLS and Liga MX standings kept. The top four from each league then advance to the knockout rounds. It's 62 matches in all, and the top three finishers qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Where to watch in the US
The simplest answer is Apple TV: all 62 matches stream on Apple TV, with no blackouts, and commentary in English and Spanish. As with the MLS regular season, Leagues Cup is included in the standard Apple TV subscription — note that the separate "MLS Season Pass" is no longer offered as of 2026, so it's just the base Apple TV subscription now.
A selection of matches also airs on linear TV: FS1 carries 14 matches in English, and TelevisaUnivision (Univision, UniMás and TUDN) carries 16 in Spanish, including the final.
Defending champions
Seattle Sounders are the reigning Leagues Cup champions, having beaten Inter Miami 3-0 in the 2025 final. (Columbus Crew won it in 2024, and Inter Miami — in Lionel Messi's first season — won the 2023 edition.)
